Administration console

Possible origin of the problem

To view the list of remote directories and files, AppliDis uses the Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) of the remote server.
The problem can occur if the IIS prerequisite is not installed on the application server.

Problem checking

To verify the issue:

  • On the administration console, navigate to the “Server” tab, select the server in question and choose “Go”.
  • Once the remote session opened, make sure IIS services are installed and started.
  • If they are not started or not installed, refer to the section “Installing and Configuring IIS”.
  • If already started, you can perform an additional check :

Open Internet Explorer with the link http://server_name/AppliDisXML/applidiserver.asp.If the page shows “The XML page can not be displayed”, it indicates that the services are started and functional. If the page is not found or generates another error, this means that services are not properly installed. It is necessary to repeat the operation described in “Installing and Configuring IIS”.

If the problem persists, thanks to contact your partner or integrator or Systancia support, case depending.

When publishing an application, it is asked to enter a path where the application program is.

You can use the “Browse” button present in the “Location” tab to identify this path. However, this requires that you use Microsoft Internet Information Services on the target server.

If you do not want to use the “Browse” button or do not configure IIS on the target server, you can directly insert the final path of the application in the field “Path” when you publish an application. This path is the path as it would operate locally on the remote server, eg C:\WINDOWS\system32\calc.exe.
